    The Morsez

    (Missing: Vid)

I accidentally found this pic from Chris's facebook. I've really forgotten having such a photo shoot as I didn't keep a copy of it.

This pic was taken the day Dhar left for M'sia, during our final year, at the old Maths Institute foyer / concourse (forgot what it has called). It was the place where we 1st met in our 1st year in Warwick Uni.

That building was no longer the house to both the Maths & Stats departments since the 2nd term of our 2nd year there. It now belongs to the Medical School and the Maths & Stats department are now located at the Central campus.

We didn’t step into the building during the final year at all. We wanted to have pic taken there as memory before we left Warwick for good and not knowing when we would be back there again.

We were called The Morsez by others. It’s just because we were all from the same course – MORSE, one of the famous degree course in Warwick. Mind you, it has nothing to do with Morse code. It’s just a crazy combined degree – Mathematics, Operational Research, Statistics & Economics.

I miss the time we spent on rushing for assignments, studying for the tests, skipping classes, Malaysia Night practices, travels, potlucks, chilling out, ……. etc. But I don’t miss the assignments & tests. 2nd year, we had, in average, 1.5 tests per week. Especially during the final week, we had to sit for 4 tests plus 2 assignments.

Well, we are all now working adults. We have other things to worry about and look forward to. I hope that all of us will succeed in our respective field and stay positive all the way!

Belated Bangkok Trip Travel Log 2

2nd day, was relaxing. After having the morning breakfast at where we stayed, we went on to book the next day Bangkok half a day tour from the travel agent. About 1,000 Baht person; not a bad deal!

What's next??? The tailors; as most of us wanted to have custom made shirts and pants. Apparently, it's cheap and in good quality to have them done in Bangkok.

Then, we headed to CentralWorld Shopping Complex to have lunch at the famous food court - Food Loft. Thai, Chinese, Japanese, Italian, ...... a variety of cuisines for us to choose.

trying hard to get everyone into the photo

It's shopping time! We decided to 'exercise' 1st at CentralWorld Shopping Complex and then MBK Shopping Center.

Well, I've said this was a relaxing trip. After shopping, what's next? Dinner lah...... We met our host, Chaiwat at Omnitower and headed to Cabbages & Condoms for dinner. We were so amazed by the decorations, which were all by means of condoms - the main thing of the restaurant.

    The table...... with condoms

    Sorry, no mints!

After the not so bad dinner, we decided to chill-out. So, as suggested by Chaiwat, we took the cabs to RCA and made the choice to check ourselves into Route66. Great music accompanied by alcohols.

Patpong, Silom - next destination. Some people tried to be adventurous and wanted to discover the famous red light district of Bangkok. It's hard to walk through the streets as we were 'verbally molested' by the pimps. Porn DVDs, Adults-only shows, ...... etc were what they offered.

Mabel, Dhar, Weide & KH decided to go back to apartment to rest. On the other hand, Fel, Vid, Christie, MH, HC & Chaiwat went to watch the exciting show, witnessed some ladies performing on stage with ribbons, soft drink, ping-pong ball, ...... etc.

It was an interesting night out!

    希望

“People should not be afraid of their government, it’s their government that should be afraid of the people”------ V

Jom Ubah!!
